To all you travelers taking your first river cruise, let me congratulate you. The Tauck ships tour with a better passenger to crew ratio than any other cruise line. The trip was educating, fun, and, since almost all the passengers were in the same age group, a good time to make new friends. The crew was fantastic for service, they work for Scylla by the way, and the Tauck guides and manager were helpful, knowledgeable, and usually fun to be around. Only one broken lock delayed our cruise for four hours, and two of the bridges were pretty close to being impassable. But the first time you see the collapsing pilot house with the Captain sticking out the top (we called him Whack-a-mole) you will be delighted. Enjoy your trip, we did...
