Pack things you can layer. You never know what mountain weather can throw at you! As for dressing for dinner ... I'd recommend smart casual, keeping in mind that you will be staying in some stunning Fairmont properties. If you can look ultra classy in neat jeans, linen shirt and a blazer, well go for it. (Not everyone can!;)) You might want to pack something a little more chic for the welcome and farewell dinners... it's always nice to show the troops that the practical, layered, traveller you can morph into a cool dude ... or gal ... when the occasion calls for it!
