Which cities in China?

Hey, my name is Margareth. I am looking forward to have a trip to Beijing or another city in China next month.
What cities that I should visit there? Any suggestion when the best time travelling in China?
Have some plan to travel China my family, three people in total. Thanks

    Well, I think you should visit Beijing, Shanghai and GUilin as well as Xian in China, where a number of places of interest are available, including Beijing Forbidden City, Beijing Summer Palace, Yangshuo of Guilin and the Terracotta of Xian.

    Guilin and Yangshuo are two. Travelling with kids is easy in Yangshuo. It is one of the more family-friendly Chinese destinations, with English-speaking locals, well set-up hostels and food for the finicky.
