Northbound tour experiences -is the cruise as wonderful as they say

Hello,

We are debating taking the Northbound wind Spirit tour of Greece and Istanbul. We just took the classic Italy tour and loved it. Not sure if a cruise is really our thing. Can those who have taken the cruise and a land tour let us know about their experiences.

    Went two years ago and the best portion of the trip was the cruise between the Greek Islands. Tauck treats its guests like kings and queens making other people on the boat look like they wonder why we get such special treatment. The hotels on this trip are wonderful, absolutely loved Naupflio, Greece and the amazing hotel there. Istanbul is truly magnificient. We were worried about Turkey, but found it to be an amazing place. Loved this trip. Seeing the small Greek islands from your ship is the way to go. The big cruise ships cannot do justice to this area.
