June 30th Castles and Kings
Hi ,
I am excited to take the kids on their first Europe trip-it'll be me-Lizzie , my Mom (a spirited 71yr old seasoned traveler) and 2 kids-my spunky 12 yr old tween daughter-and spirited red head son who is 10yrs old.
I heard there were quite a few kids on the trip...
We are looking forward to meeting everyone!
I have a question about the baggage-do you prefer duffle bags for travel or can it be a medium sized suitcase?
any kid tips for the tour besides what's in the literature?
Thanks,
Lizzie

I prefer a 25" suitcase with wheels. That's the right size for me to not overpack and risk going over the weight limit. I use packing cubes/folders, and it's amazing what I can fit in one bag.
Since this is your first flight overseas with your kids, my recommendation is "more"...more things to read, do, watch, play, snack on, etc. I don't know where you're flying from, but even the relatively short flight from Boston or NY to Heathrow can be torture to a 10 year old boy!
Are you coming in a day early? If so, here are some things that might be of interest to your kids:
