Charging camera batteries

I haven't had to plug in an appliance in Europe for several years. Can someone tell me if I need a converter to charge my camera battery or only the compatable plug. I am going to Scotland.[/b][/i]

You probably won't need a power converter because most newer chargers can be plugged into 110 - 240 volt outlets. Check on the label of your charger to be sure. You will need an adapter. You can get a set that will cover you for most countries through out the world at WalMart for under $10. or ebay if you are an online shopper. The site below will show you the adapter you'll need.

If your camera has a dedicated battery take at least 3 batteries. If it takes AA batteries the site below has the cheapest and best batteries I've found on the web. If you're not using a dedicated battery/ charger be sure to get a good charger. It will charge faster and won't be as likely to burh out. I was on a Tauck safari and my charger burned up the first day and I ended up paying up to $5 per AA battery ($20 pack of 4) at hotel gift shops. This would happen on your trip but you'll probably end up paying top $$ for a unit you won't be able to use back here in the US.
