Egypt - New Visa Restriction Policy

We are scheduled on the November 7 trip to Egypt and Jordan. Today I read that Egypt as a new policy of halting issuing visas for foreign travelers into Egypt.

Tourists travelling in groups will be exempted from the new regulations.

Will those of us on a Tauck tour fall into the category of those travelling in groups or will we need to get a visa before we go? We will be arriving 2 days before the tour begins.

I would also be interested in hearing from other people signed up for the Egypt/Jordan trip on November 7.

I was over at the Egyptian Consulate this morning and heard nothing about this. Everybody was very nice to me. I think that Egypt is back in business and I wanted to get our visas in advance so we did not have to stand in line when we arrived in Cairo.
