Iguazu Falls

Are water shoes, like Teva, recommended? What do people wear while touring the falls? Don't want to be soaking wet for hours but not quite sure what is sensible or appropriate.

Thanks for your advice!

  • Those kind of shoes are fine. You will get lots of water by spray and from the boats (if you take that tour) but you aren't actually walking in pools of water.
  • Many thanks! We'll be prepared!
  • If you take the boat trip under the falls you WILL be soaked! Lots of fun, if you're into adventure! Our lightweight plastic raincoats were worthless! We LOVED it!! Didn't care that we were wet, so was everyone else! I remember that we put our shoes in a watertight bag that was provided for anything we wanted to keep dry. As for walking in the park, I really don't remember any uncomfortably wet spray from the Falls. The only time we were wet, other than the boat trip, was when caught in a sudden downpour.
