With so many sold out trips, I thought I'd see more activity on this board. Is anyone on the September 9 trip with us?

Is anyone on the September 1st trip arriving on Saturday (8/31/2013)? There is a rodeo on Saturday night in Jackson that I was thinking of going to.

What is Tauck's actual policy relating to a solo traveler and their seat on the bus? I have payed the single supplement price for my own room so does this also entitle me to a 'single' seat on the bus? While I enjoy other's company I would like to have the option of sharing a seat or the freedom to move about the row.

    Hi Net,
We did this trip last July and the rodeo in Jackson was offered by our tour director as an extra something to do on our free night. Well the whole group elected to go & it was terrific!! We had such fun, a bunch of suberbanites hootin & hollerin and pretending we knew what was going on. It was really one of the best nights of the trip for all of us.

Have fun, you are going to love this trip!

I am very much of the same view, Net. As to what happens on day 1 of travelling, in my experience, ... it's very much in the lap of the gods. I do a lot of praying the night before for a row to myself. I prefer to choose an elbow buddy for myself, than have one foisted upon me. (I'm sure the buddy would be of the same view!) In practical terms I think it depends on how many single travellers there are on any one departure and how many rows of seats the bus has. Good luck! May the travel gods be with you!

    Cheers,

    Jan

Andrea, We are going on the September 9th Yellowstone -Grand Teton trip (butnot the Safari) and we are flying in a day early. Will probably find a museum to visit the day before. My husband is a western arts docent specialist at the Palm springs Art Museum so we are really looking forward to the Cody museum.
