Attire

I'm looking for information regarding packing for Peru and Bolivia. I understand the need for layers, but am concerned with the formality of attire. Is there a need for anything nicer than tennis or hiking shoes and khakis/ jeans. Is Lima at all formal?

    Hi Amy!

This is a casual tour. Many guests wish to dress up for the first and last nights of the tour; a sport coat for men and a summer dress for the ladies is appropriate. Nothing more than casual wear is required for dining with your fellow guests at any Tauck provided dinner.

Did the trip in May and It is very casual......But keep in mind it's winter right now....but it's always warmer in Machu Pichu. If you wear short sleeves to Machu, PLEASE take some bug spray...lots of tiny mosquito-like or "no-see-ums' the bites itch for days......

It gets cold the higher in altitude you go...but you can buy wonderful alpaca gloves and scarf (great prices!)

    Have fun!!
