We just returned from this trip. It was great. We went to hear the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra play Bruckner and Brahms at the Concertgebouw. It was great also.
Everything went off as planned. The ships crew was outstanding. The Tauck tour directors were excellent, but tended to stay together rather than mingle with the guests. Mark was the most outgoing and made himself available most of the time.
One of the highlights of the trip was the crew show nite when the crew members put on skits to entertain the guests.
We had a number of surprises on board when we were treated to unexpected local guests. They ranged from a group performing folk music to food and liqueur sampling. There was a lot of very good local wine available. Also the tour directors shared with us a number of local treats.
We were constantly meeting new people. We had 108 guests and a crew of 36. It was a most agreeable group. Our shore tours were typically split into small groups, each with a local guide. There was always the option to explore on our own or stay on the ship.
We would like to thank the crew, the Tauck tour directors Carry, Mark and Petr, and most of all the other guests for making this a most pleasant experience.
