Twisting roads

Does this trip involve travel along very twisty roads? A succession of sharp bends makes me feel very nauseous.

    Hi there!

I've sent an email inquiring about the routes taken on tour, and will edit this post when I've received a response.

In addition, you should also be aware of the heights involved in this tour. Much of this tour will be at elevations over 8,000 ft and as high as 14,000 ft. We have designed the tour so that you could gradually acclimate to the high altitudes, but some people may experience altitude sickness. You should be fine, but if you're concerned, feel free to consult your physician.

I've included a table at bottom, detailing the different heights of the major stops on the tour.

    Best,
    Tim

  • Great question - change in altitude doesn't answer about winding roads....
  • We just returned from this trip last month. I cannot recall much winding roads except the 10 minute public bus ride going to Machu Picchu from Aguas Caliente.
