Traveling to Provence and/or Cote Sud

We have made several trips with Tauck. And we have enjoyed everyone. This time we are planning a Trip to France in June. We are very interested in know experiences about places to visit between Lyon and Nice, passing through Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence. Or, is it better to separate both regions ?? One trip to Provence and surroundings, and other trip to Nice and Cote Sud ?? We only have 7 effective days to do it. Can somebody of this Forum give me some suggestions ?

Thanks a lot

  • Aix is the heart and soul of Provence and a great city. With all it has to offer I would see no need to go to Arles or Avignon. I've been organizing painting tours for artists for 19 years so this has been my experience. St Remy would be great but only if you care to visit Van Gogh's asylum - fascinating! Gordes is a small village in the Luberon Mountains and is a must see. Cassis is spectacular but crowded with tourists.
