laundry

Are laundry services on board ship free for the VS Suites? What amenties do you recieve for these suites?

  • Hi - we took this trip last Summer, for our 40th wedding aiinversary, and stayed in a Vista Suite. Yes, laundry dervice is free, but it takes a couple of days to get it back, so plan ahead. There are many other amenities, including complimentary petits-fours and fruits (like tuxedo strawberries) every afternoon, special arrangements for in-suite dining, use of one of the restaurants (Sabatini's on the Diamond Princess) for breakfast (a real treat, since you avoid the crowds in the International Dining Room) and others, but the major amenity is the suite itself. It is WONDERFUL, with a HUGE balcony all to yourself that is blocked from the wind and rain that you have to deal with on-deck - we sat out there in all kinds of weather in perfect comfort, even though the weathwer was much cooler when we went (August) than it will likely be in July. It is especially great for Glacier Bay, when the ship makes an in-place 360-degree turn to view the glaciers, and for the cruise through the Inner Passage.

    Hope this helps.
