Hot weather in Italy

We are traveling on the August 4, 2012 trip. Just wondering if anyone who has been on this trip has some suggestions for Milan---before the trip starts. Also
with this weather---were there any pools at the hotels---if that might feel super refreshing after a day of touring. Love to hear from anyone who took this tour this Summer.

    We are taking this tour Sept. 1 and are closely watching the weather forecasts. Yes, it looks to be very hot right now and I am hoping for a cool down when we get there.

    While we haven't taken this tour yet, I have done some research for Milan. Just a couple of suggestions to consider - the hop on/off bus, which always gives a great overview of a city to explore, easily, on one's own. La Scala has a museum and some guided touring. I believe there may also be some touring available for the Duomo.

    Have a great time! I hope you will post your experiences when you return. We are eagerly awaiting this trip, as you must be, too!
