VISA option
I know that you can get your India Visa from Tauck, but with a little research on Google, I see that you can get it less expensively from Travisa Outsourcing.
The India website actually has a link to Travisa, so I am curious whether anyone has gone directly to them for their VISA and if so, if there were any issues.
Also, is there perhaps another easy, less expensive alternative to Travisa or Tauck's vendor?

We always use Tauck's visa service. It usually is ZVS, but for India they use another one. We had just returned from a European trip and our passport was due to expire before our India trip. We needed new photos for the passport and Indian visa. This tour was costing us a very large amount of money and we didn't want anything to go wrong, so we just did it with Tauck's assistance.
Maybe someone else will have another experience getting their Visa directly.
