Huayne Picchu

My husband and I are leaving in two shorts weeks on the Empire of the Incas tour. Might any other travelers on this tour or former travelers have any information/experience climbing Huayna Picchu? Is there sufficient time within the early morning tour of Machu Picchu to make this hike. Is there a way of acquiring tickets before the actual day of the hike?
Thanks for the info!!!

    Hello Nodak,

We used to Huayne Picchu on this tour however, we found that no many of our guests were interested as the hike can be intensive and strenuous.

On Day 7 of this tour you will have the morning free to do as you wish. It takes approximately 1hr 20min to get to the top. Also, it will take 1 hour to get from our hotel to the main entrance of Huayna Picchu. You will have to schedule your hike for a 7 to 8am in the morning. This means you will have to leave our hotel by 6am at the latest so you can get in with the first then get back in time for lunch and to meet up with the tour again. As we depart for Cusco after lunch.

These tickets must be purchased in advance, so if they decide to book here maybe there will be no availability. You or your travel agent can contact Lima Tours directly to make these arrangements with Lima Tours at http://www.limatours.com.pe/contact.php

    Hope this helps,
    Emily
