practical considerations

Hi - Thanks to the forum discussions, we know what kind of electrical converter/adapter to bring for our upcoming trip, but we still have a few questions:

1) Is there wifi available for iPad connectivity in hotels?
2) Is there truth to the rumor that we will need to bring our own TP, as the restrooms in China will lack their own supplies?
3) Are credit cards widely accepted? Is there ATM/hotel cash availability? Also, as part three of this question, should we bring supplies of $5 or $10 bills as we did for our Africa trip? Those supplies came in quite handy during our tour.

Thanks for any help!

Hotels and most restaurants generally have toilet paper. Sometimes, however, if you use a restroom elsewhere the paper may be in limited or no supply, so take small packages of tissues with you. Western toilets can be in short supply in restaurants and other places. When they're available, there's usually a line of women waiting for them.

We had no trouble in major cities with the use of credit cards. We took a lot of new dollar bills for use with vendors. You are expected to haggle with them. They can really be so persistent in their efforts to get you to buy that you have to be almost rude in rebuffing them.

Will there be a chance to do laundry on our tour, or have someone or someplace do it for us?

We just returned from this trip. Laundry services were available at the hotels but very expensive. We laundered a couple of items while on the cruise, as the ship's prices were slightly more reasonable. We also washed a few smaller items out in our sinks.
