Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

British " Sometimes a man can be really useful in certain situations." I've told my wife that many times.😊 And an engineer is best of all! (View Post)4 -
Re: Antarctica tour
I don't think I would be able to do 60 days of Antarctica. That's just a bit too much of Antarctica for me. I found this cruise on the Ponant site. Looks like the trip starts at about $160,… (View Post)1 -

I went back and looked at the pictures from when we did that cruise. I didn't have many pictures of people at dinner but did have the one I'll attach here. If you want a preview of the crui… (View Post)1 -
Re: Check your My Account
One thing I was told by a Tauck agent is that "My Account" only goes back 10 years. But they have the full history in their files. The logo by my name has the correct number of tours taken. (View Post)1 -
Re: Latam Airlines vs Delta Airlines
I agree with BKMD about the seating on Lufthansa. I flew their 747 a couple of times recently and the business class seating was ancient. I understand they're going to upgrade the 747 seating, h… (View Post)1
