Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

My intent in starting this thread was not to attempt to convince others to use a DSLR camera. Or to start a discussion about whether someone should use a DSLR. My intent was to let those who DO use a… (View Post)2 -
Re: A Good Product for DSLR Photographers
Smiling Sam - What I described is the capacity of the box, not what I take with me. I only take one DSLR with me on a trip and just about everthing for that camera is in the box. I take three batteri… (View Post)1 -
A Good Product for DSLR Photographers
I found this small box to hold photography stuff and thought I'd pass along information about it. It will hold two camera batteries (with one in the camera, that gives you three), two CF Express… (View Post)2
