Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

We went on the Adriatic Treasures tour pre-Covid (2019). It was a wonderful tour. We had originally booked a cruise (with another company) but changed our mind and went with this land tour. The main … (View Post)0 -
Re: International cell phone package
We use the ATT International Day pass. It's $10/day for the first person and $5/day for the second person. It was cheaper than other plans we had used in the past. One big advantage is that you … (View Post)5 -
Re: Essaouira sightseeing option
We did the Magic of Morocco and the Essaouira excursion. It was interesting to see the "goat trees" but they were clearly a set-up for tourist. The "professional photographer" on … (View Post)0
