Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

Re: <60 days out from my trip
Several of the TDs on tours that I was on set up a Whatsapp group text. That's good and bad, but maybe more good than bad. (View Post)1 -
Re: Savoring France
I really enjoyed the truffle farm, also. I guess the main reason was that I was interested in how they harvested the truffles. The people who gave the demonstration used yellow labs. When we asked wh… (View Post)1
