I will be on the same trip. It will be both my first Tauck tour and my first river cruise, and I'm very excited and looking forward to the vacation. I've done lots of research on river cruising and impressed by everything I've seen and read regarding Tauck. I am a solo traveler and like the thought of a smaller (98) passenger limit. See you in 93 days!

I am also traveling solo and am very excited about the upcoming tour . Counting the days . I will be arriving in Amsterdam on 7/12, a few days prior to boarding the Espirit . Hi Susan,
I'll be arriving one day early, staying at the Andaz Hotel booked through Tauck on 7/13. I was advised that it was helpful with jet lag to arrive a day early as well as securing that there's no chance of "missing the boat!" I've been to Amsterdam years ago, but look forward to visiting again. I remember it being a great place to just walk around and enjoy the views of the canals, homes and buildings.
I'm looking forward to meeting you in July!

I'm arriving in Amsterdam on 7/12 around 8am , staying at the Intercontinental Amstel which was also booked through Tauck . I've been researching things to do the few days I'll be there before boarding the boat . I thought I'd like to go to the Anne Frank house but it seems that it's not easy to get tickets .The tickets are released on line and you have to get them 6 weeks prior to when you'd like to visit . Due to the time change I'd have to get up around 0330 and the chance of getting them is very slim . I was able to get a ticket to visit the Corrie Ten Boom House which is in the town of Haarlem , outside of Amsterdam .I am very excited to be able to visit this house , it is the home of the Ten Boom family who were active in the resistance doing the German's occupation . I learned about this family when I read the book The Hidden Room . I will be going there on 7/13 , Haarlem is 17 miles from Amsterdam . I'd also like to go to the Hague but not sure if that's realistic with the time frame . I'll just have to wait and see . As you mentioned it will be nice just walking around the city , enjoying the canals , homes , buildings and people watching .

Did you happen to select your optional shore excursions yet? As promised, Tauck made them available yesterday, 90 days prior to our trip. I've made my selections. No bicycle trips for me LOL.

Yes I made my selections this morning , I also will not be taking any bicycle tours . Do not bike in the USA , dont think I'll be taking it up in Europe , do not want to become familiar with the asphalt . Looking forward to the excursions , they offer good selections . ............Susan -

Are you going to Salzburg? It's a charming jewel of a place, and while I've been before on my first trip to Europe 38 years ago, I look forward to returning. Also revisiting Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna, which is spectacular.

Hello Alan. Trying to private message you and not really sure how to do it. Some time ago you posted about using your hearing aid TV bluetooth gizmo with the Vox devices, and invited folks to contact you for more information. Well, here I am. After five Tauck river and small ship trips, we have booked back-to-back land tours in Italy, leaving in two weeks. Using my hearing aids in place of a Vox earpiece might be great. In particular, what kind of battery? something I can get from Amazon or? Did you get shorter wire connectors to reduce the tangle in your bag? Thanks so much. Rick S.
