Ziplining on the Panama Canal/Costa Rica tour

Hi, Has anyone taken the Ziplining tour option on day 7 of this tour? If so, what was it like, how long, how difficult. Any info you can give would be appreciated.

We will be on the March 9 westbound cruise! Looking forward to it.

thanks

Susan

  • I have no idea if it is the same place we went, but we did Zlplining on the PURA VIDA tour in Costa Rica earlier in the year. It's the second time we have done ziplining in Costa Rica and this experience was better than the first time we tried it, also on a Tauck's tour in Costa Rica. It is a very professional operation and they explain exactly what to do and there is a small practice zip line you can try first. If you don't like it there, then you can give up then, otherwise you are comitted to doing all the lines. Don't do it if you are afraid of heights. We had a great time.
  • We wanted to do the ziplining, but were discouraged because there is no way to return to the buses from the bottom of the run -- eight lines with nine platforms -- except to climb the mountain on a narrow dirt trail with no railings. As a result of this new information, the number of Tauck travelers who actually did the zip lines was reduced from eighteen volunteers to just ten hardy souls for whom the climb back was not arduous.
