Airlines in South Africa

Can someone please advise what kind of planes we use for the internal flights in South Africa and to Victoria Falls? I'd like to know the plane size and company. Thank you.

  • Hi! We took the Tauck South Africa adventure last February. It was spectacular to say the least! The plane we boarded to Zimbabwe was quite comfortable, however, a bit tight with leg room and seating; however, it was a short flight and we had no problems. You should be fine.

If you have previously travelled with Tauck, you already know how detail oriented they are. Comfort and traveler convenience are top of their list. We had a wonderful stay in Zimbabwe at a beautiful hotel facing Victoria Falls, Hotel Victoria, a grand old hotel with lots of charm and history.

We took amazing shots of the animals on safari and talk about this trip to everyone!

Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful time.

  • Hello Adventurer2,

Days 4 & 8 - we use a large aircraft from South African Airways

    Days 10 & 12 – British Airways
    Airbus Industrie A319-114 jet aircraft
11 feet wing span; 111 feet in length
    Passenger capacity 124

    Hope this helps,
    Emily
