Last Supper - Bellissima Northern Italy 9/17/2022
For anyone going on the 9/17 land tour and received the note that Tauck wasn’t able to secure tickets for the group to see The Last Supper - we are arriving in Milan early and were able to secure our own tickets for Friday before the tour starts Saturday. Nothing was available on Saturday.

We're on the tour a week earlier and got the same notice. I think we'll skip trying to get tickets on our own. The original is not in that good of shape despite some restoration efforts (I suspect Sam's picture is one of the copies).
Ken. - it’s still worth seeing in person in my opinion. Have a great trip.

In my opinion, the great masterpieces certainly do not need to be in pristine condition in order to be appreciated and admired.
It’s a moving to see it firsthand…I’m glad we had our 5 minutes where we could see it in person.
I was happy to see it also. When I was a kid I did a paint by number oil painting of the last supper and got to know it quite well and always wanted to see the original. Given all that has happened to the painting and the room , it is surprising it survived! Not much of the original left but it likely represents what the original was.
