Nice clothes for dinner on a Bridges tour?
Hi, I’m traveling with my 15 year old son on back to back tours in July 2024 for a total of 14 days. We’re starting on the Sweet Life tour and then joining Italia Bella. With only 1 suitcase per person, I’m trying to figure out what clothes/shoes to pack. Does everyone (teens included) dress nicely for certain dinners like the first and last dinners? Or is everyone pretty casual on these Bridges tours? Do people bring quick-dry stuff and wash as you go? Thanks for any advice you may have!

Very casual. One suitcase is plenty of room for anything you need and you may not even have to get laundry done.
Thank you!
Agree. Very casual. We do a quick wash in the room because almost everything we bring is air dried by the next morning.
Would you say “very casual” means that everyone typically goes to even the first and last dinners in the same clothes they wore all day? Or do people bring an outfit that is just a little bit nicer to change into?
Gina, no most people don't go that casual for European tours. For special dinners you need one dressy outfit worn just for those meals. I pack one pair of black dress slacks, 2-3 nice tops and flats or sandals to go with. Whether people go to other dinners in day clothing depends on how casual they dress. I normally wear casual slacks/capris and nice top. I usually change shoes just to give my feet a break.
People do tend to change into something a little nicer, especially for the last dinner, but since it’s a bridges you might be busy right up to the dinner. It can be as simple as just throwing a scarf or jacket around what you’re wearing.
You can bring a nice pair of simple black pants and a top and play it by ear. It’s always nice to get out of sneakers at the end of the day and a nice, comfortable shoe can dress up an outfit.
Bottom line is nobody cares- it’s up to you.
Thank you! I was hoping the kids didn’t usually change into nicer clothes. Men’s shoes are really big. (He’s 15.)
We have taken 3 bridges tours and the kids do not usually change.
Thank you! I’ll feel better if there isn’t room now.
As the old saying goes. Once you’re packed remove half of it- you won’t need it.
And the males we took never wore “shoes” at all.
I’ll keep that in mind! Thanks again!
So I have to convince my teenage daughters to not bring their entire closet?!😆 my philosophy is basically- you pack it, you carry it!
