Any alternatives to the Komodo Dragon day?
We’re going on this tour in a few weeks (9/14/24), and I recently hurt my knee. I’m able to walk without too much discomfort, but I think the Komodo Dragon day might be too much for me. Any advise?

You can stay at the resort which is very nice. But do you realize there is a large amount of walking and steps on the the tour? Even some of the beds are on tricky platforms. There is a regular forum contributor there right now, maybe he can also confirm this. In fact, the Komodo dragon day is a much easier walk than most of the other days as it is a slow walk and quite a short time there.
I just arrived in Indonesia, Day 4 of the tour. We are just about to start to experience the days with lots of steps and walking. With respect to the bed with a tricky platform. Here is a photo of our room, with the bed on a pedestal.
Great illustration of that bed. Being short, I found it quite difficult to reach the floor when getting out. I had to slide down onto the stone first and then go on to the floor, tricky during the night and tricky climbing back in. Beautiful resort and yes, lots of steps there.

Gosh I do remember that bed, I had to slide down to get off, the room was beautiful though.
Yikes! That bed does look difficult. I figure that hubby will have to take lots of pics of the temples that will be difficult for me to climb, but since it’s too late to cancel, I don’t have much choice.
Any other suggestions?
We head to Flores Island today, the base for the Komodo Dragon park visit. To date, the number of steps hasn’t been too severe. To a degree the number of steps is a function of which room you get at a resort.
