What Does a King Room at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel Really Look Like?
The Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto is one of Canada's famous Railroad Hotels. But is this hotel worth staying at on your visit to Toronto? Or should you pay extra and choose the other hotel, the Four Season Hotel Toronto? Talking to Tauck guests on the cruise, the well located Fairmont Royal York is the obvious best choice. Yes there are issues with the Royal room, but the ambiance of the hotel far outweighs the room problems.
This video is One of Seven Videos from my Tauck Great Lake's Tour, Westbound going on Le Bellot from Toronto to Chicago. The Royal York Hotel is where I spent the first two nights of the tour.

Leslie! You must have gotten the same fabulous deal from Tauck as we did, where they were virtually giving you the tour for free if you had taken more than thirty tours with them.
We stayed at that hotel. I’d also like to point out that the hotel entrance is not disabled friendly, there are just a good number of steps, no obvious elevator. The Toronto Film Festival was taking there, so we saw several celebrities. From what I recall, it was about a $700 upgrade to stay at the Four Seasons.
Recently, we stayed at this hotel on the "Canada's Capitals Cities" tour. The hotel is conveniently located but the room was okay, nothing special at all.
Yes agree with you Noreen, nothing special
The back enterance has an elevator making the hotel handicap accessible. I asked, but it is not obvious
