We received our Tanzania visa today, we applied 3 weeks and 1 day ago. For the airline confirmation I attached the American Airlines/Qatar trip summary page which showed all our flights. I use a MacBook and adjusted the size of the photos in Preview. Open the image in Preview, then adjust its size by percentage, scaling proportionally.

For Tanzania, eventually just needed to keep trying with files under 300KB. Finally worked.
For Kenya, the Tanzania files did not work. Kenya wanted much higher resolution files around 1MB. The small files kept failing without explanation when on the group application. Switched to individual application and the SW told me needed higher res. So redid the pics of passport and just did PC camera selfies, and it worked. My approval came back quickly. My wife's never did. I contacted the Kenya help and they sent me a .pdf file of the approval. They were very responsive. A side note...when I tried just checking the Kenya SW status, during log on, it would do the 2 level security check by sending my PC email a code, but it only allowed 60 sec to respond. My PC did not receive the email within 60 sec so I could not get logged in. Hence why I resorted to their help staff.

I also use “Preview” on my Apple computer to adjust file sizes of a photo. It’s easy.
