Advice? Visa entry

We changed our flights to fly through Paris instead of Doha based on volatility in middle east. We now arrive in Tanzania at 11:15 p.m. on the 14th. Our Visa takes effect 7/15. I assume by the time we deplane etc. we will be okay, but do you think we will have any problems boarding in Paris? Or should I just tell them we will do visa on arrival - I talked to Visa Central and it is taking at least 25 working days to get a new visa, so that's not a possibility. Thanks for any advice!

  • I think you may have to contact your airline to be sure, but I think you will be ok.

  • So Air France said no - if you don't have a Visa valid for that date they will not let you board - so we booked back on Qatar, and guess what showed up today - four days and we got the new Visas - we'll just stay where we are

  • The airlines never asked for our visas before boarding.

  • Interesting considering when we flew into Arusha on Qatar, many passengers filled out their visa apps in the airport after they landed.

  • When was that?

  • I have heard many different things, but we are good to go, just an interesting response from Air France!

  • Last September. They had tables and apps. I believe I read about same day visa, but didn’t want to hold up others being picked up. Think we had 8 or 10 Tauck guests on our plane.

  • Mary Basille: International situation is fluid and fragile; wouldn’t risk not having the proper visa.Glad you got yours.BTW ,I am under the impression that when you board the air line does check your documents including visas for the place you are going to.
