Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand Tour - Oct 24, 2025 - Vaccinations & Malaria?

Hi All,

Looking forward to our first Tauck Tour this Fall. I have done some research and have a consult w a Travel Doc next week. Wondering what people are thinking of getting in terms of vaccines. My husband and I are healthy 58 year olds. We are thinking Typhoid and two doses of Japanese Encephalitis plus malarone (malaria pills) for Cambodia. What is everyone else's plan? We are up to date on our Hep A, MMR and TDAP and Shingles.

    I have no idea what other vaccines you have had in the past….such as Hep B Hep A, shingles etc I don’t know your medical history and I’m not a Dr. please please wait until you have seen your travel Dr. We have traveled the world but you know we have not had the Japanese Encephalitis shot, everything else you can think of yes. In fact, I just got my TDAP booster. We have been to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia with Tauck and Vietnam and Cambodia on the Mekong River last year, we love it. Enjoy!

    When we went on the VCT tour we didn't take any Malaria medications and I didn't know of anyone else on the tour that took that.

    Otherwise, we had the standard vaccines. We did not take Japanese Encephalitis.
