Time of year cost comparisons

in La Belle Vie: The Rhône, Geneva & the Riviera

We are thinking about this river boat tour in 2027. It looks amazing. Checked the 2026 prices and saw that the May cost is considerably higher than the July cost. Trying to figure out why it would be so different. Is it weather, too many summer tourists? So curious! I’m sure the actual itinerary is identical. Any ideas? We’re ready to book and just can’t decide which month to go! Thanks!!

    Weather and # of tourists would be my bet. I have found cheaper fares mean less desirable times to go.

    We opt for Sept/ October because of the weather. We are booked on this tour for September next year.

    Yep, weather and crowds. Of course weather is getting trickier to predict. Also could be airfare prices are higher then.

    I usually book my river cruises in April, so far have been very lucky with the weather. I'm actually booked on this cruise for April 2027
