EES going into effect beginning next week

With the new EES - Entry/Exit System (NOT ETIAS) being deployed throughout the EU and some other countries like Iceland beginning next week, has anyone received any guidance RE allowing increased time between flight connections? Wait times to clear Immigration are expected to be longer than usual.

    We travel a lot and have encountered many new ‘systems’. I don’t think this is going to be more of an annoyance than what we encountered on our last trip from SFO to Venice and Rome to SFO. We had pictures and finger prints and passport scans. None of the machines had adequate instructions … like which side up the passport should be.
