Trip to Scotland
If you had three extra days between a Tauck land tour of Ireland and a small ship cruise of Scotland - how would you split your time between Dublin and Edinburgh, and what would you make sure you saw in each (beyond the sights that Tauck has included)?

Tough choice, but for extra time in Edinburgh - don't miss The Real Mary King's Close, Scottish National Portrait Gallery, The Georgian House. In Dublin - Trinity College and The Book of Kells.
So much to see in both that isn't covered by Tauck tours. In addition to Goddess' suggestion - in Edinburgh the National Museum of Scotland with Dolly the sheep, Harry Potter sights like Greyfriars kirk, the Royal Yacht Brittania (an easy tram ride right to it), or day trip to Rosslyn chapel (DaVinci Code sight). In Dublin the Chester Beatty museum is excellent. If you're interested in Ancient Celtic sights there are day trips to the Boyne Valley north of Dublin.
