Suggestions on what to do after the tour ends in Japan

We just booked our tour for April, 2027 and very excited about it. Since we are already in Japan, we wanted to stay after the Tauck tour ends and go somewhere else and are hoping this group would have suggestions on what would be an amazing add on to the trip. Thanks in advance for advice and suggestions!

    Consider Nikko, Japan. You can reach it by rail. Make a reservation at one of the Ryokans and spend a couple of days there.

    See if you can get a Tours by Locals to guide you there and back. You'll have to pay for that person's hotel room but they will take care of everything for you. They can arrange the train tickets, the hotel reservation and take you to the most important sites.

    Otherwise, you can do it on your own.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph.
