Extra time in Malts

We are doing the northbound Malta to Nice/Marseille small cruise in fall of 2026. We are coming into Malta a day early and will have a free morning. Has anyone booked outside excursions before Tauck starts? We were considering a half day tour to see more of the northern part of the island.

    I'm doing that cruise this year, starting from Malta. I'm going a day or so early and have set up a private tour with Tours by Locals. The guy I chose is Alfred M. (click on his name for a link)

    He will pick us up at the hotel. I told him what we want to see.
