Essence of Japan departure March 26, 2026
Anyone on this tour? If so is there a way to determine who the TD is? Are we to receive any carry-on to bring or does Tauck do that anymore?
Any tips appreciated from those whom have already taken this tour. Thanks in advance

Occasionally these days, some of the tour directors will email you in advance. If not, Tauck will not tell you who the TD is because there can be unexpected last min substitutes for any manner of reasons. We have had this happen on a couple of tours where the TD has said they were called in at the last minute.
My husband and I took this tour in October of 2024, and really enjoyed it. I recommend that you review the older posts on this thread for comments from past travelers. I posted a trip report and others have too.

When we took this tour there was something specific that I wanted to buy. I called Tauck and asked for our TD's email in advance so that she might be able to suggest some stores. They gave it to me -- she said she would look into it -- and when the tour started she had several suggestions. This was quite a
while ago though.
I did do a review before I posted my questions and could not find consistent answers. But I do thank you for your reply
