Went in September and the water conditions were not noticeable on the ship. No one on the ship had any seasickness. That said the water conditions did impact one days excursions. The ship was unable to moor the day that was intended for a visit to the Blue Grotto. The ship went directly to Malta, one day early.
I did that tour/cruise back in 2018. Everything was fine until the last day when the ship couldn't leave Sicily to go to Malta. That was a problem because everyone had flights out of Malta. Tauck chartered a plane that took us to Malta.

We didn't see much of Malta because of that. https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2018Sicily-01.htm
Other than that, the weather and the seas were fine.
