When I want to find something near a sight like a hotel, I use Google. Example, I enter the name and/or address of the hotel in the Google search block. It will almost always bring up a small map. I click on the map. In the left hand side of the screen are buttons to click like Directions or Nearby. Click on Nearby and enter what you're looking for like laundromat. The map will show a bunch of red dots for the ones it finds and on the left panel with a list of sights found with additional information like their website. If you use your mouse to highlight any sight it will given you the travel time. You'll have to toggle which you want walking, public transport, vehicle.
This also works really well for finding nearby restaurants, drug stores, ATMs, etc.
The Directions button is useful if you want to know how far your hotel is to another location with directions on how to get there via walking, public transport, vehicle or bike. Handy for sight seeing on your own time.
Be warned looking at the Lausanne map. It's a very hilly city. From the Lausanne Palace there is a fairly steep grade down towards the lake and up towards the hilltop. But the public transport system is free for tourists.

I was on this tour 6 months ago. At that time, it didn't go to Lausanne. It did go to Lucerne (aka Luzern), which is not the same city.
