Our familly of 11 will be on trip to Portugal in June. Any fabulous suggestions for sights or restaurants would be appreciated.

    I assume you will visit Porto and Lisbon.

    PORTO
    Stroll through the Ribeira area and along the riverfront. There are many cafés. Visit the beautiful train station with its azulejos tiles. Take the Gondola ride. Visit the gorgeous bookstore, Livaria Lello. Be sure to purchase the tickets in advance. Visit Cultura Portuguesa for cork products.

    LISBON
    Stroll along the beautiful, tree-lined Avenida da Liberdade. Visit the Alfama district, the oldest neighborhood. There are many great cafés there serving traditional cuisine. Take in a Fado performance. Take an excursion to Sintra. Go to Cascais and have lunch at Mar do Inferno. Their grilled octopus is divine.
