Power Adaptors
My research tells me that I may need either a Type D (three round prongs) and/or a Type G (three rectangular prongs) power adaptor to charge cell phones. What have others used on their Africa adventures?

I've found that if I take the adaptors called out for each country visited at https://power-plugs-sockets.com, then I haven't had a problem.
Yes, you need those and the site Sam mentions is good. We also travel with a travel extension cord with several receptacles for plugs and phone jacks. These are useful when there are only a few outlets or they are in a tricky place to reach. Amazon is easy to buy them from
Ditto British’s comment on the extension cord.
