HOTEL MEALS
On this trip, we are staying at several different fine hotels which include various meals, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. How does this work? Are they limited set menus just for Tauck clients, or do we order whatever we want from the hotel menu for the included meal?

For dinner in the hotels, you will have a choice. Usually, you will choose an appetizer/soup/salad, a main course and a dessert. However, it may not be the entire menu that you can find on line. I've generally found them to have six to eight choices for each category. If there are multiple restaurants in the hotel, there's also the possibility that you can choose between them. Some people want to go more upscale and others more casual.
You will also be asked with whom you would like to dine and at what time. Most tables are for two, four or six people. The restaurants don't want everyone coming at the same time and want to give you a good dining experience.
If lunch is included during travel, the choices will be more limited and you may need to make a decision in advance so that the lunch stop is not too long. On the trip you are taking some of the lunch stops are destinations in themselves and may be in the mountains and include a buffet or a shared meal at a rustic table.
Breakfast always includes a full buffet usually with the possibility of ordering eggs, omelets or other items off the menu. Whether you do this or not, will depend upon how early you get down to breakfast. Some people prefer to sleep later and have a small breakfast from the buffet. Others prefer a full breakfast and don't mind getting up early.
You will have plenty of food choices and will get to experience the cuisine from the countries that you are visiting.
Enjoy yourselves. The trip you are taking is a great choice.
