Kenya and Tanzania food options

I understand that drinking the water is a no-no unless it’s bottled, to only brush your teeth with bottled water, and to not let water get in your mouth when showering.

I’ve also heard not to eat raw foods…salads, fruits, etc. I’m curious, when staying/eating at the hotels/lodges that are part of the tour, is this still true. Seems like these places would have filtration systems in place for food prep.

I don’t mean to come off as critical or as a pampered American. Just want to make sure I make the right food choices to avoid any stomach issues. Thanks!!

Yes, you can eat all foods prepared at the hotels/camps. We’ve been on the K and T twice and Tanzania Zanzibar and Tauck Bridges Tanzania and never had a problem.
