"A Week in Switzerland" restaurant question
We're signed on for "A Week in Switzerland" next summer.
33 years ago, my wife and I went to Lucerne on another Tauck trip, and our group had dinner and a show at the Stadtkeller restaurant. It serves traditional Swiss fare and has live, traditional Swiss musical entertainment. We loved it, and I got to blow a big alphorn, haha.
Looking on the net re: things to see and do during free time, I asked AI about that restaurant - forgot the name, but described it and gave it's basic location. It found it right away.
For our upcoming trip, the itinerary says on the first night in Lucerne we will have dinner "at a local restaurant". Wondering if those who have taken this trip can say if their groups went to the Stadtkeller or not.
Not going to call Tauck now, as they want those with questions that can wait to wait till after their system update - not to mention they've got lots calling about their upcoming Rhine and Danube river cruises.
Just curious, and so excited about going back there - whether with the group or on our own.
TIA ~

Last summer we had the Welcome dinner at the hotel.
Hi Goddess, Lucerne will be the last city on our tour. We have 3 nights there. The first night has a Tauck provided dinner, the second night we're on our own, and the last will be the farewell dinner at our hotel. Just wondering if, for the Tauck provided meal, they still take people to the Stadtkeller.
I hope someone can answer your question. Sounds like a fun place.
