Bordeaux/Paris River Cruise

We are doing the Bordeaux/Paris on the Seine River Cruise in April, 2027, and have a question about the bike tour. I am not a great bicyclist, but the bike tour through the vineyard would be my preferred excursion for that day. Is it a difficult ride? Are you riding amongst people and cars (which tends to make me nervous)?
Also, how was Bordeaux after the fires? Were you able to fully enjoy it? Did Tauck make any changes to the itinerary?
Looking forward to this trip and experiencing the new layout / new ship, The Serene.

Sorry, can't answer your exact question but from experience you can change you mind about excursions once on board if that is one that they ask ahead of the cruise what your choice is. The cruise director will let you especially for something like this where you aren't sure you are comfortable doing it. If you think that's the excursion you want, go ahead and sign up. I do note that it's an ebike ride and I learned last summer on a different cruise that they can be very heavy. But it was so fun and I'd do it again. Just wished I'd done a bit more bike riding ahead of time - stationary bikes just aren't the same.

'Through the vineyard' probably means no cars or people, but grape vines........................

    Thank you for your feedback.
    Agree, Goddess - that's what I'm hoping.
