Latam Airlines vs Delta Airlines
Hey Everyone,
I have a question for anyone familiar with Latam Airlines. I have my flights to Buenos Aires and the flight there is from Boston-Miami-Buenos Aires. The Miami to Buenos Aires is on Latam Airlines Boeing 787-8. I am flying home on Delta - Buenos Aires-Atlanta-Boston.
I just was wondering what are your thoughts on Latam? Decent or would you choose Delta over them? I could switch to connect via Atlanta on the way to Buenos Aires instead of Miami on Delta.
Looking for opinions.
Also - I am flying Business Class.

When we went to Santiago, Chile for the Patagonia tour, LATAM was our only direct option and we used it for round trip. I forget that particular plane but I believe it was a 2-2-2 configuration in Business Class. I am not a fan of that layout but hate paying more, so I generally put up with it. The food was good, seat was comfortable and the staff was super nice. Only negative is that it was an older plane and the seats lacked a bit of privacy. On the way back we had a layover in Santiago and it was raining hard, which caused a one-hour delay. The airport staff went around the waiting area to personally apologize to the guests and explain the delay. I thought that was classy. LATAM is the most widely-used airline in South America. I have never flown business on Delta but I have on KLM and that is my favorite way to get to Europe, if the price difference is not too bad. But if you have a big price difference and the itinerary is more convenient, I would think you would be just fine on LATAM. Actually, I just found this Youtube video. Not sure if this is your plane but it looks like a very good 1-2-1 configuration. Maybe they are replacing their older planes now.
Hi Wan! Thanks so much for your response. I believe the seats are 1-2-1 on my flight and I agree about the 2-2-2 set up, not a fan!!
I just flew KLM last month on my South Africa trip and have to say they were a super nice crew and I love the little houses they give, too.
It made me nervous on the Latam site that it said my seat 3L was premium economy, but I booked business. I googled it and it said it was some website glitch and then I went on their app and it did say business cabin, so I felt better, but it had me wondering about the airline in general.
Thanks for the link to youtube. It does look like that is my set up as there are only 5 rows and the 1-2-1 set up like in the video.
We flew Latam several years ago and it was very good including the food and service. I would happily use them again.
