Currency
Just a word about the currency. The ATM machines are redly available to get local currency if you want. The sister resort of The Royal Livingstone has an ATM machine. Most places take visa. At the Khwai River Lodge I bought a couple of items in their gift shop. I could have paid with Visa, but wanted to use some of my US cash that I had brought down. Several of my bills were rejected by the clerk, as they were not perfect. Tauck stipulates in their book that "Many currency exchange offices in Africa do not accept U.S. dollar bills older than 2004". It should also be added that Bills that have any extra markings on them, like pen marks or marker lines, or are too bent are not accepted.
