I am not sure how much free time we will have in Monte Carlo or Nice. It seems like Tauck will provide an orientation tour in both cities. The casino is the place to see if you have not been there. Not as big nor as tacky as Las Vegas. There is also an auto museum in Monte Carlo worth visiting. In Nice, of course a stroll on the Promenade des Anglais is a must. Off of the promenade is a fruit and flower market wth lovely but pricey fruits, vegetables and flowers. If you like museums, there is a Chagall museum, Museum if Contemporary and Modern Art and a Matisse museum. Otherwise both places are for shopping and people watching. Lots of "beautiful people" waiting to be seen. Personally, that does not interest me, but sitting in a cafe is always a worthwhile endeavor.
