Typically on Tauck river cruises there isn't alot of on board entertainment. One of the areas where river cruise ships really differ from the big ocean liners.
On the Rhone most nights we had a pianist and singer (very good) in the lounge and one night a travel trivia contest. On the Rhine/Moselle there was a string quartet one night in Amsterdam, a pianist and/or some sort of game led by the cruise director. Also on both ships there was a crew talent show - hilarious.
If none of that appeals you can sit up on the top deck sipping a drink, there are games available in the bistro, and your room tv has movies. On the older ships they run 2 movies each day continuously (each day is different) and on the newer ships its an on demand system with about 30 movie choices and some european tv channels in English.
On the 2 river cruises we had the piano guy every other night and some local entertainment, and a few other types of entertainment on the other nights and a fun crew show.
